Providing a look at the humble origins of the Wu-Tang Clan and its subsequent rise to prominence in the ’90s, the trailer to Ghostface Killah and Raekwon‘s documentary entitled, Purple Tape Files provides a glimpse at the duos early beginnings committing crimes amid the chaos of impoverished Staten Island, New York during the ’90s. Furthermore, the documentary explores the founding members’ early rap ambitions and eventual rise to superstardom with the release of their ’93 platinum album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Included in the short teaser are interviews with legendary rapper Nas in addition to a number of Wu-Tang contemporaries and other figures in hip-hop.
